Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to the change the world.

At EFAC, we believe in the power of education to change lives. (See Mary’s story)

In Kenya, fewer than 50% of kids go past 8th grade because of financial or cultural reasons. For the very poorest kids, fewer than 11% graduate from high school.

By 2050, most of the world’s poor will live in sub-Saharan Africa; more than half will be under the age of 25. Without education, the expanding opportunity gap will leave vast numbers of people mired in poverty, unable to support themselves or their families, with no hope for the future.

EFAC aims to change that with an 8-year comprehensive scholarship program that leads to thriving careers. Through EFAC, bright, impoverished Kenyan students gain access to education and through education … change their lives, the lives of their families and their communities.
